Blog #8 Blue Angels, TOPGUN and Admirals

I have received great support from the US Navy on this project. I am honored to have the endorsements from the following legends of US Naval Aviation:

Captain Rob “Ice” Ffield was the commander of the Blue Angels, and spent two tours as an instructor at the United States Navy Fighter Weapons School better known at TOPGUN.

Admiral Mark “Guad” Guadagnini prior comannds include: COMCARGRU-9 as Commander of the USS Abraham Lincoln Strike Group. In addition, Admiral Guadagnini has flown 59 combat missions.

Admiral Tom “Chain” Zelibor prior commands include: COMCARGRU-3 as Commander of the USS Carl Vinson Strike Group. In addition, Admiral Zelibor is a member of the 1,000 Trap Club — having landed on US Aircraft Carriers over 1,000 times.

    I Miss Nora Ephron

    Recently a colleague mentioned he and his wife were moving from the house where they raised their family to a smaller empty-nester house. It recalled the seminal Nora Ephron piece in The New Yorker where she wrote about when she lived in the landmark apartment building in Manhattan – the Apthorp and her decision to eventually leave it.
